Giveaway: School Zone Preschool Workbooks

Summer is halfway over. I'm surprised by how quickly the summer has flown by. Basically my kids start camp next week for three weeks, we have two weeks total off and then our last week is a trip to the beach. Then it's back to school. Yikes!

We have spent the weeks we've had off doing so many fun activities. Not quite as many as we did last year due to rising gas prices. We've really been trying to stay close to home, which means Meadowlark Gardens, Frying Pan Park, Air & Space Museum, Wolftrap Concerts and of course, the pool. But during some of the hotter days when we stay inside, my kids love doing these School Zone workbooks. I'm not sure how much it helps them get ready for school at this age, but they're fun little exercises for us to do together. And it feels like we're doing something educational.

I'm giving away two newly published School Zone workbooks, one is Math Readiness for Pre-K and then other is Big Alphabet Workbook for ages 3-5. (The picture is NOT one of the books I'm giving away.) I'll pick two winners next Friday, July 25. Just post a comment about your favorite activity you've done with your kids so far this summer. Please make sure you leave an email address so I can contact you if you win!

That's so funny, we must be getting hit up by the same promo people because I'm giving away the alphabet book in my next giveaway package this month :)

I'm not sure what my favorite activity of the summer overall is... but we planted some sunflower seeds and they've grown huge! I really enjoyed starting a garden and watching it grow with my kids.

This sounds weird but I've been freezing little toys (like farmyard animals from the dollar aisle) in blocks of ice. Then we get to figure out how to dig them out and save the animals from "all the ice and snow!" Em loves this game and is great at digging with spoons, forks, whatever!

Btw, what do you think of the alphabet workbook? Does Anna like that stuff?

Your kids didn't go for it. (Happy b-day to Anna by the way) BUT mine loved the fountain at fairfax corner. Best of all as a mom with a new baby I could watch them and tend to the baby!! (instead of tending to a baby and trying to keep my 2 year old from putting himself in danger on the playground!!!

Our favorite summer activity is being outside...on the playground, walking the dog, in the pool, running wild, you name it!

my FAVe activity at the moment is Slop. Cornflour and water. For an added kick I also add food colouring and food essence today I used Orange flavoring. Why is it wonderful? I can keep my Girls (6yo 5yo and 3.5yo) BUSY for a FULL hour happily playing whilst I clean a previously destroyed room. Followed by a bubbly bath for them that will take up another half hour. Happy children equals caml Mummy{smiling}

My favorite summer activities have to be going to the pool and strawberry picking. My daughter and husband are huge berry lovers and can eat tons right there in the field. Our 2 year old got into it this year and with the surplus, I made my first ever batch of jam. Hope your summer continues to go well!
